People often say 'Don't just sit there, do something'. But during this practice we will reverse that statement to say 'Don't just do something, sit there'. Restorative Yoga is practice of slowing down where you rest in certain poses for extended length of time being fully supported by the props (bolsters, blocks, belts and blankets) and opening the body without any physical effort. Restorative yoga sequence typically involves only five or six poses, supported by props that allow you to completely relax and rest. Held for 5 minutes or more, restorative poses include light twists, seated forward folds, gentle backbends, side bends and stretches.
On this workshop we will learn how to relax the body through proper alignment and focusing techniques (including hand gestures - mudras and verbal instructions)
This practice balances fast lifestyle and has an enormous capacity to heal physical and mental symptoms that are stress related.
This session will be followed by teas, vegan treats and inspirational documentary about 'Time'
