Being mindful means being fully present in the here and now. It is the practise of slowing down and paying attention - so that we don’t miss the precious moments in our lives and can equally learn to deal more effectively with those times that may be stressful.
Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is an eight week programme created and pioneered in the USA by Dr Jon Kabat-Zinn. Studies have shown that committed participation in an MBSR course can often lead to lasting positive effects on health and well-being. This 8-week course will introduce participants to different forms of mindful practise, including sitting meditation, body awareness and gentle mindful movement. As the emphasis is on bringing mindfulness into everyday life, home practice will be an important part of the course.

Testimonial from previous course run by Mairead:
'It was such a gift for me to be able to attend Mairead's course. She is truly an embodiment of mindful presence - great teacher! I got so much out of the course for my work and personal life. I'm very grateful for each and every hour of the practice and for the tools which I'm still using in my daily life. Thank you so much!' Magdalena, Yoga Teacher and Therapist
