Maria Diviney-Lootens (Dip HM, Dip NT)

Herbalist and Naturopath

Maria is a fully qualified Herbalist and Naturopath and member of the Irish Register of Herbalists. She studied for five years at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in Dublin and graduated with a Diploma in Herbal Medicine and Naturopathy. Her practice uses a blend of Western and Chinese Herbal Medicine as well as Ayurveda in combination with Naturopathic healing modalities, which include detoxification, nutrition and supplementation. Maria's philosophy is applying the ancient wisdom of plant medicine to modern day challenges. The ever-increasing stresses of modern life makes it difficult for us to get into balance and is a massive factor in the increase of many chronic conditions.

According to the WHO, plant medicine is still relied on today as a primary source of medicine by 80% of the world’s population. Plant medicine is suitable for all ages - from birth to old age and is helpful to support the body's healing process when it is faced with any illness, or simply to help maintain your current level of health. Whatever condition you are presenting with, whether long-term or short, her aim as a practitioner is to get your body back into balance by addressing the root cause, as opposed to masking the symptoms.

In her initial consultations (1 hour), Maria goes in-depth to establish this root cause in order to bring about more long-lasting healing. This includes tongue and pulse diagnostics (Traditional Chinese Medicine), as well as various diagnostic methodologies which she draws on from Ayurveda and Iridology. What follows this consultation is a complete personalised wellness plan, which includes a bespoke herbal formula of seven specifically selected herbs, as well as nutritional and naturopathic advice.

If you’re curious about plant medicine and how it could help you, she’d be delighted to hear from you.
