People often ask me how mindfulness is an effective brain training tool and I'm more than happy to provide the science behind neuroplasticity, changes to gray matter, and overall impact to the stress hormones released. However, this isn't how we teach it.

Mindfulness is an experiential practice and each person will move through exercises in a unique way based on their present moment awareness and responses to the senses. This might seem a little abstract but joining a class makes these exercises accessible. We also have a brief chat about ways of folding these into your life, to make it fun, and something you feel benefits you.

A lovely warm, cozy, and quiet room, the Community Well in Donabate allows a small group to practice a variety of mindfulness exercises in an easy and light environment. As a graduate of the MSc. in Mindfulness Based Interventions from UCD, and an Advanced Skills Yoga Therapy Teacher, my classes are intended to be fun, lighthearted, creative and playful. Finding the joy in practice enables a habit to form, so come along and give it a go with an open mind and a sense of curiousity!
