Fun - Imagination – Creativity

We’re looking forward to lots of Springtime arty crafty creative fun at our two-day workshop during the Easter holidays. Our workshops aim to be relaxed and fun, with small class sizes and two teachers on hand to help. We demonstrate sample projects for inspiration but children will be encouraged to use all of our lovely crafting supplies in imaginative ways and create their own unique Spring-themed projects, to proudly display at home. Join us for Dreams & Wishes for New Year - 3 hour Creative Workshop for Children

Monday 2nd of January from 10am-1pm for children 6-9 years of age

Tuesday 3rd of January from 10am-1pm for children 6-11 years of age

We all (both children and adults) have dreams and wishes:)

When it comes to dreaming, imagination plays big part. Understanding the power of imagination can be invaluable tool for children. The younger they are when they learn to use imagery in a positive way, the simpler it will be for them in the future. 

On this workshop we will be planning our dream future in a fun and creative way:) We will use our imagination to visualize our dreams and wishes and then pour them on to the paper using mix media art (crayons, paint, pieces of newspapers, glue etc.). 

Other creative activities include: 
-Playing Imaginative Games
-Storytelling

New class for 13-15 years old

Every Sunday 5-6pm (except from 25th September, 23rd October and 18th of December - on these days class will be from 6.30pm-7.30pm)

This class will bring a safe and fun space for children aged between 13-15 years where they can grow in confidence through Drama and Communication techniques.

Being a good communicator is an important life skill. It gives you the confidence to see opportunities, take them and flourish with them.

We'll be sharing scenes, pieces of prose, monologues all while having fun and just taking a break from the demands of everyday life in a cosy setting.

You can trial a class too if you're apprehensive about taking a dramatic leap.

The Drama Den was founded in 2021 by Áine Dilleen. Áine is a Royal Irish Academy of Music qualified Speech and Drama teacher with a BA honours in Theatre & English and is also undergoing an IMMA accredited Creative Mindfulness for Kids course. She is a member of the Speech and Drama Teachers of Ireland and PAEI.

The Drama Den

The Drama Den is a creative fun space in Donabate where children (6-12) can explore their imaginations through DRAMA, IMPROVISATION, POETRY and SELF EXPRESSION.

The classes will take a mindful approach encouraging the children to express their thoughts and feelings while cultivating kindness for themselves and others through drama and creativity. All kids are welcome, especially those who need to gain confidence in speech and self expression.
