Fit Mums - Exercise classes for Mums and Babies

Restore your Posture, Core and Pelvic Floor with specialised exercise classes. Babies are very welcome. Classes provide an opportunity to exercise with mothers who understand well what you are experiencing, in a supportive and positive atmosphere.
Growing, birthing and mothering your baby is a life changing experience and places demands on your body. Pregnancy and Mothering, carrying, lifting and bending all tend to change our posture over time and can lead to aches and pains.
What about your tummy muscles? Many mothers experience a separation of their abdominal muscles which leads to a “mummy tummy.” This is actually made worse by sit-ups, planks and traditional abdominal exercises. I will teach you how to safely
and effectively strengthen your core. Your pelvic floor muscles have come under a lot of strain during pregnancy and birth. I will show you how to strengthen these important muscles which can help prevent bladder and bowel issues as well as pelvic organ prolapse. High impact exercise such as running or jumping, stresses the pelvic floor muscles. These muscles are already weakened following pregnancy and birthing. My classes are specifically designed to strengthen your body from the inside out, with a special focus on pelvic floor and abdominals, to get you ready for a safe return to fitness activities.
Classes led by Chartered Physiotherapist Louise O’Sullivan who, as well as 22 years of professional experience, is the mother of four young children.
