NEW YEARS YIN YOGA & SOUND BATH
REFLECT, LET GO, ACCEPT
We will take a meditation journey where we reflect on the year gone by, acknowledging both the joyful and challenging moments. We will give ourselves the time and space to let go of anything that no longer serves us, bringing our physical, emotional, mental and spiritual body back into balance, inviting a sense of lightness and freedom to take us into the year ahead.
Our Yin Yoga practice teaches us about acceptance and encourages stillness. A slower and mindful style of yoga, we hold in the poses for longer, inviting ourselves to turn inwards and reconnect with the sensations of the body, mind and breath.
This slowing down and mindfulness of yin yoga, calms the nervous system, alleviating stress and tension while improving energy flow and restoring equilibrium and balance.
We finish our practice with the soothing sounds of the Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, drums and other instruments. This will further engage your nervous system promoting a deep sense of relaxation and peace.
Yin Yoga is suitable for everyone but the sound bath would not suit the following:
- anyone with a pacemaker
- anyone who has had major surgery or a metal implant inserted in the last 3 months
- anyone in their first trimester of pregnancy
