Each class begins and ends with a dedicated Breathwork Practice. Classes combine functional movement and yoga to improve strength and flexibility. Classes focus on harnessing the breath and linking each movement to the breath, which allows us to calm the mind. As human beings we have limitless potential. Limits are only put on us by the thinking brain. With a calm mind we can take on any challenge. We can let go of limiting self beliefs and discover our true potential. A calm mind is found by focussing on the breath.

New 8 weeks course with Emma starting on Sunday the 12th of October at 7pm-8pm

All Sundays in studio classes except 2nd and 23rd November (optional Zoom class on the 2nd and 23rd November)

This slow yoga class is all about slowing down. Slowing down our movement, our breathing, our minds. In this practice we will work to feel through subtle sensations, listen to our bodies natural rhythm and callings and breathe deeply to release what we no longer need to carry. This practice will through a series of grounding postures focusing on different anatomical areas such as shoulders and neck, hips, back, legs, ensuring we work through the full body to release tension and emotions. This is a safe space for all and all levels are welcomed. There will be various options giving for poses and what is really important is that you listen to your own body and find what feels right for you. This class will hold poses for longer than a typical vinyasa class to encourage deep release of tension and to send our breath to the areas that need to let go. Working with the seasons, autumn and winter are often a time for deep rest and restoration. Just as nature loses its leaves, and sheds, we too shall let go.

Slow down and find space to grow again into the new. Each class may vary but some poses may be repeated.

About Emma:

I completed my 200 hour yoga training in 2019 at Down Dog Studios in Swords (now Yogahub). I was called to yoga at the young of 14 during as a therapeutic remedy for my mental distress as a teenage. I found this practice as a way to become present, to loosen up my body and therefor my thoughts, and it gave me clarity and connection to myself in a new found way. Since completing my training at 19 in 2019,I have taught classes in Yogahub, online during Covid, and at the Community Well Donabate. Originally trained in hot yoga and vinyasa/hatha, I have since moved into slow flow after experiencing its benefits for health both mentally and physically. I wish to share this practice with you as it brings me peace and it is lovely to do so in community. I am always welcome to feedback and to hear what poses the class would like to try but ultimately I want people to understand that yoga is more than poses. Yoga means union of the self. The poses (asana) are just one part of yoga. Therefore I wish for you to come curious with yourself and know that there is freedom in this class to explore your body movements and breathe and that every pose/suggestion I give is completely optional. Listening to our own bodies is so important and I trust that you will do so. Looking forward to sharing this space, I think it will be really magical coming into the autumn months together, having this Sunday ritual to connect, breath, move and release.

Yin Yoga teaches us about acceptance and encourages stillness. A slower, mindful style of yoga, we hold in the poses for longer, inviting ourselves to turn inwards and reconnect with the sensations of the body, mind and breath. 

We finish our practice with the soothing sounds of the Himalayan singing bowls, gongs, drums and other instruments. These sounds and vibrations will engage your nervous system promoting a deep sense of relaxation and peace.

This workshop aims to support us on the journey of yet another new beginning by creating a space to set the clear intention for the path ahead combined with gentle yoga and mindful art (no experience required:) to enter new chapter of our lives with a clarity and focus.

What to expect:

- Gentle Yoga Practice with intention setting

- Tea break with herbal teas, healthy snacks & treats

- Designing your own mandala - simple, abstract design that represents the connection between our inner worlds and outer reality. Drawing and colouring a mandala can be a highly enriching personal experience in which we look inside ourselves and find the shapes, colours and patterns to symbolize our most deeply-desired wish, intention or prayer.  

Bring a friend or come solo, this is a welcoming space for you to move inwards and find inspiration for the next chapter of your life’s journey.

Restorative Yoga involves the use or props to support the body to completely relax.

It is a way of really resting your body and allowing the body and mind to open up.

Restorative Yoga provides a complementary space for both physical and mental relaxation. We can just be - with no agenda or expectation.

Restorative Yoga can also be used as a meditation. We softly move our spines in different directions and include some gentle inversions which reduce our blood pressure. It stimulates and soothes our organs depending on the posture.

It is a quiet, slow practice and our use of props allows us to progress into deeper states of relaxation & gentle opening.

This allows us to get in touch with our body mind connection and puts us firmly on the path for relaxation, management and reduction of our stress. We move towards health and wellbeing.

What’s not to love?!

This is suitable for all levels including beginners.

Prepare to unwind!

Dress comfortably, bring a yoga mat, water, 3 blankets & have no expectations of yourself. Just be.

Yoga props are provided but bring along anything you need to make yourself more comfortable.

This is a quiet, slow, contemplative practice that compliments a busy lifestyle or regular yoga practice & other sports.

Yin Yoga improves flexibility, reduces stress, improves emotional, mental health & well being.

We work deep into the fascia through a series of floor postures, which we hold for several minutes - with compassion (it’s not an endurance test!).

Yin Yoga gently challenges people & every posture will explore different aspects of that. You don’t have to be flexible to try this!

A regular Yin yoga practice will really help your flexibility, understand why certain postures are more accessible to you than others and work towards moving those barriers or accepting those limitations - improving awareness that can be carried into your general yoga practice.

Take the time to stretch, lengthen & let go of anything that no longer serves you.
Spend time getting to know your body & your mind.

This is suitable for all levels, including if you’ve never tried Yoga.

Have no expectations of yourself- just stretch & breathe.

Restorative Yoga

Gentle restful yoga with focus on alignment and breath

Class Schedule: Monday 6.30pm-7.30pm

A purely restorative class with mindfulness awareness practiced throughout. This practice is a powerful exercise in slowing down, sitting comfortably with silence, getting to know how you’re really feeling without judgement or criticism. Guiding you through 3-4 poses over the full hour, you engage with the parasympathetic nervous system to stimulate the “rest & digest” response to bring balance back if you’re currently overwhelmed, anxious, or worn out.

Moving through poses slowly, holding restorative poses for a little longer than normal to allow the body time to rest and release tension, anxiety and stress in the body. You just need your mat, 4-5 pillows, 3-4 blankets, and if you have an eye pillow, small towel, or a hood to cover over the eyes. Use props to support the body and allow nervous system to rest and restore.

Suitable to all levels including total beginners.

  • Monthly Membership 4 Class Pass: €25

  • Monthly Membership Unlimited Class Access (up to 12 classes per month): €40

Morning stroll to reconnect with nature - no matter the weather.

All participants are welcome to contribute adding to the walk their own inspiration: yoga pose, tai-chi move, meditation, poem, song, dance - any body & soul nourishing ‘food’:)

Every Saturday: 8.30am-9.30am except 31st October

On this course we will mostly focus on exploring dynamic movement to re-energize the body and remove any stagnant energy & lethargy both from the body and mind. Classes will start with centering progressing through flowing sequence of poses and finishing with meditative relaxation.

We will learn yoga techniques to strengthen body and build resilience on the mental and emotional level. We will try to build up outer strength and connect with the source of inner power that rests deep underneath all external layers.

Please note that this course is suitable for all levels of students but will be physically challenging and having previous experience with yoga is an advantage.
